Dr. Minoru is Keis uncle who works at the local clinic. He has a tendency to make suggestive comments about attractive women, even in front of his wife, who sometimes responds with physical violence. Although he is jealous of Keis relationship with Mizuho and has perverted tendencies (in Japanese culture), he often helps out Kei and Mizuho by moving their belongings into their new apartment, buying them a wedding ring for their private ceremony, and paying for an expensive hotel in Okinawa for their honeymoon.
