The character named Youko in the series is primarily used for comedic purposes. She enjoys sweets and junk food, can become unpleasant when drunk, has a bat (Chi-chan) as her pet that bites people who are either frightening or new to him. This bat serves as the team's mascot. Youko is known for having an irritating high voice in the dubbed version and exhibits childish behavior at times. She is not a skilled pilot compared to Mitaka and Miyuki, as Kengamine Kouji once stated that she obtained her pilot license through a cereal box.
