Duke Klaus von Lichtenlade served as Premier of the Galactic Empire during the reigns of Friedrich IV and Erwin Josef II. Despite being a palace courtier, he had limited influence and power outside the palace compared to other members of the royal family such as Duke Otho von Braunschweig or Marquis Wilhelm von Littenheim. In an attempt to increase his own power, Klaus von Lichtenlade aligned himself with Reinhard von Lohengramm after Friedrich IV's passing. However, this alliance was short-lived and ultimately proved unsuccessful.
