Ippei mine is a rodeo champion who lost his mother to wolves at a young age, leading him to become bitter and aloof. he learned how to survive on the streets and perform odd jobs, which helped shape his personality. when he joined the rodeo, he mastered horse riding and whip usage. his closest companion was a white stallion named aiful, with whom he won two championships. however, when the earth international defense force asked him to join their team, ippei refused, resulting in his forcible separation from aiful. dr. hamaguchi brought aiful to big falcon early in the series, and ippei piloted the volt bomber (arms). he had a rivalry with kenichi, similar to maverick and iceman. ippei was voiced by kazuyuki sogabe in the original voltes v series.
