A student in the second grade is seated near Takagi-san at the back of the classroom. He struggles with bitter tastes like black coffee, secretly consumes a romance novel titled "100% Unrequited Love," and easily gets scared. Academically, he performs average. Despite being naive and prone to embarrassment, he responds well to Takagi-san's teasing. Although he invests considerable energy into devising strategies to defeat her, his efforts seem ineffective; it appears that Takagi-san consistently outsmarts him in every challenge she presents.
At some point he marries the now-former Takagi-san, having a daughter named Chi between them. After leaving school, he becomes a P.E. teacher, having continued his extensive physical training routines in his previous efforts to beat Takagi-san.
