Michel Volban de Cabelle, often referred to simply as Michel, is a prominent figure in the Peoples Army. Despite being a woman, she bears a striking resemblance to her brother, Michel Volban, who has disappeared in battle with Vetti. To imitate her brother's appearance, Michel has a X-shaped scar on her back. This mark was revealed after Cleo and her crew discovered that Michel was actually a woman. Michel's actions were driven by her love for her brother, which went beyond typical sibling affection. She had little contact with her deceased mother and her father was rarely home, leading to a strong bond between Michel and her brother. Her brother became a significant role model in her life, and she admired his fencing skills. After her father saw her fencing with her brother and recognized her superiority, he ordered her to behave more like a lady of a royal house. However, following her father's death and the loss of her brother during a major battle, Michel renounced her identity and became Michel in order to save the Peoples Army from destruction. To do this, she acquired a X-shaped scar on her back, similar to the one her brother had received from Vetti in a tournament. She also abandoned her real name, Racine Blance. Michel's actions were driven by her deep love for her brother, which transcended typical familial bonds. Despite facing numerous challenges and adversities, she remained committed to protecting those she cared about and preserving the future of the Peoples Army.
