The young princess of Havoniwa attends school with Lashara and they have a strained relationship despite being cousins. Maria is very close to her servant Yukine and rarely seen without him. She is the daughter of Flora, whose antics often embarrass Maria and Lashara. Maria has an interest in Kenshi, who pilots the white sekijin, and plots to make him marry Yukine so she can claim ownership of him. Despite being bad at manual labor, Maria enjoys sitting under an umbrella with Lashara while others work around them, complaining about her tiredness even though she does no work. Her cooking skills are also poor, as evidenced during the pot-dish battle when she relied on servants to cook for her.
