Ian, イワン パホーフ

Ian, also known as Ivan Papov in the Japanese version, only appears in series one of Beyblade. He is a mischievous and intelligent blader who works for Boris. Although he respects Boris, he does not show any respect towards his opponents. Ian's bitbeast, Wyborg, can dodge other Beyblades around the stadium due to its agility. Despite being confident in Biovolt as a great power, Ian loses to Kai in the preliminary rounds of G-Revolution and remains in Russia with the Blitzkrieg Boys team. He is loyal to his teammates and puts his trust in them. Ian is the shortest member of the Blitzkrieg/Demolition Boys team and has a long nose, wears goggles, and rides Wyborg as his bitbeast. He is known for being cool and cold like Kai, but he often appears with Tala although they do not talk much. His eyes are magenta red, and he is small yet tough. In Beyblade G-Revolution, Ian disappears when the rest of his team forms the Blitzkrieg Boys. It's likely that he still owns Wyborg, but he may have upgraded it. In the manga, Ian competes with Kai for a place on the Demolition/Blitzkrieg Boys team to enter the World Championships. However, in the manga, Ian loses and Kai takes his spot on the team. Ian's Beyblades are Wyborg with the Wy Crusher attack and Wyborg 2 with the Sand Bind and Dive Bomb attacks.
