Lord Enma, also known as Yama in Hindu mythology, is a giant red oni who serves as the judge of the dead in the Other World. His role involves determining whether deceased individuals will be sent to Heaven or Hell. He resides in this realm and has been tasked with making these decisions based on an individual's actions during their lifetime. Lord Enma first appears when Son Goku is killed by Piccolo during a battle with Raditz. At the time, he was the only person who had successfully traversed Serpent Road, which led to North Kaios planet. Despite this, Lord Enma grants Goku permission to attempt the journey himself in order to reach his destination. It is worth noting that Lord Enma has some level of combat ability, as he claims to have bested Raditz when the latter attempted to break into Heaven while passing through his realm. However, it is stated by Kami that North Kaio is stronger than him.
