Hashizo was originally named Hideki but was later renamed by his brother Go after their parents' death in a car accident. Although they were half-siblings, Hashizo is Gos younger brother and the son of Gos father and his mistress. After their deaths, Go took responsibility for looking after Hashizo despite being young himself. They have been living together ever since. Despite being responsible at a young age, Hashizo spends a lot of time alone with his best friend, the cat Juliano. When he meets Yakko, he will become very attached to her and consider "Mambo" as his second home.
