In episode 016 (Junpaku dress no yume! Usagi hanayome ni naru), a female youma named Widow was under the control of Nephrite. Her mission was to gather the energy of home economics teacher Higure Akiyama once she reached her peak energy output. To accomplish this, Nephrite put his evil crest on a stretch of silk fabric that Akiyama purchased to make a wedding dress for a competition held at Juuban Hall. As Akiyama became increasingly obsessed with making her dress, Widow emerged from the fabric when she finally reached her peak energy. At the competition, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, and Sailor Moon were present. When Widow attacked Sailor Moon, she spit out a web that wrapped around her. As Widow folded the silk of the web, she said, "I will weave a beautiful shroud for you! But of course, I have to weave you into it!" However, Sailor Mercury used her Sabão Spray attack to fill the air with mist and disorient the youma. Sailor Mars then used her Fire Soul attack to destroy the web that was encasing Sailor Moon. Confused about where the girls were, Widow raced through the mist. Sailor Moon took advantage of this opportunity to utilize her Moon Tiara Action attack, destroying the youma once and for all. After the attack, Akiyama and the other people in the auditorium woke up with no memory of what had happened. Widow has purple hair and two large red eyes along with several smaller red eyes on her forehead. She resembles a human-spider hybrid, with an orange skin human-like body, a black spider-like abdomen marked with yellow lines, eight appendages that allow her to move quickly on all eight legs, and the ability to stand on two human-like legs when stationary.
