Ushio is a security guard who works around the Satellite area, known for his muscular build and reputation as a skilled duelist. He first appeared in the first episode of the Yu Gi Oh series 0, where he tried to extort money from students with his protection services. Yugi was one of his victims at that time. Ushio has been featured in all Yu-Gi-Oh series except for Capsule Monsters. In the first series, he bullied Yugi and this event was later referenced as a flashback in Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters. He also played an important role in Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds.
