Yorihisa is one of the Hachiyō and serves as both the Seiryū of Heaven and a samurai in the Imperial court. He comes from a proud lineage of warriors, having been trained with a sword since childhood. As such, he is known to be an incredibly skilled opponent. Yorihisa was raised by his older brother Sanehisa until the latter's untimely death during a mission to protect a young lord. This tragedy has left Yorihisa feeling deeply guilty and responsible for his brother's demise. Despite this, he takes his duty to protect others very seriously, even if it means sacrificing himself for their safety, especially when it comes to Akane, whom he holds in high regard.
