Postino  

Postino is a recurring character in the series who serves as an example of its surreal tone. He's a mail carrier who travels by motorcycle and delivers clues or plot exposition to Jing at just the right moment. Despite appearing only briefly, he plays a significant role in driving the story forward. Postino is both a parody of Deus ex machina plot devices and an illustration of the illogical world that Jing inhabits. He first appeared in the "Amarcord" manga story and later reappeared twice in the Twilight Tales series, once in volume one and once in volume five.
