The main character in the story is Takumi, a high school student who values spending time with his close friends. Although he has many female companions as friends, Takumi does not feel attracted to any of them. When Osamu Funade asks him if there's someone he likes, Takumi decides to search for an answer before the end of the next summer vacation, which is approaching quickly.
