Kaphwan Kim

Kim Kaphwan is a character in the Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters series by SNK. He is an expert in Taekwondo and believes himself to be a fighter for justice. Originally, his teammates were supposed to be paired with another dangerous criminal, but instead, he was added to their group. Kim's nickname is "The Crown Jewel of Taekwondo." In Fatal Fury, he holds the title of world champion in Tae Kwon Do. He receives an invitation from Wolfgang Krauser to participate in his King of Fighters tournament, where he faces off against Terry Bogard, whom he acknowledges as a superior fighter. Despite their initial rivalry, Kim and Terry become friends and work together. Kim is revered as a sports hero and national icon in Korea, which allows him to gain custody over Chang Koehan and Choi Bounge for rehabilitation purposes. Although the two men initially resent him, they have come to respect him. In most of his King of Fighters appearances, he serves as captain of Team Korea.
