The dancouga nova project's overall commander is a man with long hair and goes by the name fog sweeper. initially, he only communicates with tanaka. however, in episode 6, the dancouga team meets him at a party where he reveals that dancouga was modeled after a legendary super robot that once protected earth from an alien threat. the seiyū for fog sweeper is also the same person who voiced fujiwara shinobu in the original series.
