In the Kiheitai, Takechi serves as a strategist and does not engage in much physical combat. He identifies himself as a feminist, explaining that this perspective influences his gentle treatment of women and children. Matako, on the other hand, believes that Takechi has a Lolita complex (which makes him a lolicon). In the past, Takechi remarked that Kagura would reach her prime in a few years. He prevented Matako from killing Kagura because he believed her fighting abilities would be exceptional at that time. Later, Takechi was severely injured by Okada, and his fate following this event remains uncertain. His name is derived from the Meiji restoration era samurai, Takechi Hanpeita.
