Samuel "Sam" Winchester is one of the main characters on Supernatural alongside his older brother Dean. While some argue that he's smarter than his brother, Sam would disagree. Over time, Sam has embraced the hunting lifestyle and repeatedly put himself in harm's way for the greater good, showcasing his selflessness. The Winchester brothers hunt supernatural creatures like Bloody Mary and Shapeshifters. Each episode typically follows a similar structure where they find and solve a case. Although Dean is currently responsible for gathering leads, Sam's abilities of precognition and telekinesis often guide them to their next hunt locations. Sam is a senior at Stanford University studying law and lives with his girlfriend Jessica Moore, whom he plans to marry in secret. One evening, Dean comes seeking help after their father goes missing. Although hesitant initially, Sam eventually joins his brother on this quest.
