The main character of the show, named Maia, was an orphan who lost her adoptive grandfather. Despite being a talented student, she faced rejection from the Ocean Agency and now works for Nereids. She's optimistic, diligent, friendly, sincere, but also naïve and adorably shy. While working with Nereids, Maia is on a quest to discover her past.
