Ippon Matsu (いっぽんマツ) is an individual who owned a weapons shop in Loguetown where Zoro visited. He was previously the owner of two swords that belonged to Zoros, Sandai Kitetsu and Yubashiri. Initially, he tried to deceive Zoro by buying his Wado for less than its actual worth until Tashigi arrived at the shop. His attitude changed after witnessing Zoros courage in testing his luck with Sandai Kitetsu, a sword cursed to slice off anyone who wields it. Impressed by this, he gave Yubashiri, his family's heirloom and a sword passed down through generations of swordsmen, to Zoro for free. He did so because he saw it as an opportunity to pass on his dream to the young man. Ippon Matsu made a cameo appearance in The Detective Memoirs of Chief Straw Hat Luffy TV special.
