Duuz is an officer of the pirate-fighting group called Angel Links in Outlaw Star. He has since become more relaxed and views humans as inferior to his species, known as Dragonites. As Platoon Commander, he possesses exceptional swordsmanship and barehanded combat skills, making him highly powerful and deadly. Unlike other crew members, Duuz often fights battles alone but is assisted by Meifon, Kosei, and Valeria occasionally. He can deflect bullets with his sword and is calm and contemplative, able to read enemy moves effortlessly and provide wise advice like a sage dragon. Duuz follows a vegetarian diet and dislikes seafood. In terms of appearance, he has distinct coloring for his scales and eyes, as well as a unique tail resembling that of a crocodile rather than the short stub seen in Outlaw Star. It was revealed in Angel Links that Dragonites are their own naturally born race, unlike the genetically engineered dinosaur-like species they were previously believed to be in Outlaw Star.
