Jack the Ripper in Part I Phantom Blood was modeled after the real-life murderer who has yet to be identified. Despite appearing polite and charming, Jack ultimately reveals himself as a violent killer when he stabs an unarmed woman to death. As a vampire, his actions become even more disturbing, as he can materialize knives from his body and seems driven solely by the need to inflict pain.
