Shun is a user of the Xyz system and a friend of Yutos. He has a strong dislike for Fusion Summoning and shares similar goals with Reiji. After learning about Reiji's true objective, they agreed to work together. Although he may have engaged in duels for fun previously, Shun is now a seasoned duelist who displays intense determination and unwavering perseverance during his battles. He also harbors a deep affection for his younger sister Ruri, whom he vows to rescue. Despite being arrogant and proud of his abilities, Shun acts impulsively and impatiently, willing to eliminate anyone he considers an enemy, even warning Yuto not to hinder him when focused on achieving his objective. In contrast, Yuto is more cautious and measured in his actions.
