In the mall, Chi encounters Tama, a feline friend who assists her when she is lost. During their encounter, Tama accidentally knocks over some cans. Despite this, Tama remains kind and helpful to Chi, even warning her about potential dangers from humans. Although Tama has had a sibling resembling Chi but was given away, she still frequently appears in the anime as Chi's ally.
