Okino Yoko is a popular pop star idol who often appears as a guest at social gatherings that turn into criminal cases. She began her career as part of the quartet "Earth Ladies" alongside Kusano Kaoru, Takeno Yuki, and Hoshino Terumi. After some time, the group disbanded to pursue individual careers. Despite this, Yoko has remained successful in both pop idol and acting industries. Yoko first crossed paths with Conan, Mouri, and Ran when she sought help from Mouri in apprehending a stalker who had broken into her apartment. However, upon finding an unknown man impaled on a knife in the apartment, this case quickly turned into a murder investigation. It was later discovered that the victim, Fujie Akiyoshi, Yoko's former boyfriend, had committed suicide due to a misunderstanding and fell onto the knife, making it seem like he had been murdered to take revenge on Yoko. Fortunately, Conan uncovered the truth before any harm could come to Yoko's career. Overcoming her grief, Yoko has continued with her career and remains an important contact for Conan and Mouri in the TV and idol industry.
