Hilda is a survivor of an unknown holocaust that killed everyone in her village, including those she knew. She has been wandering alone until she meets Horus, who offers to take her back to his village. Despite the kindness of the villagers, Hilda struggles with suicidal tendencies, survivors' guilt, loneliness, and depression. Her songs on the harp are haunting and speak of sadness and loss. Although she desires love and belonging, Hilda refuses the villagers' attempts to understand her depth of suffering.
