Following this revelation, Blair conducted research on Gaspard's background and uncovered evidence of his cruelty towards homeless children. Subsequently, Gaspard kidnapped Remi after learning about her true status as a 10-year old girl. On the day of their arrest, Blair was present with Paris police officers when Gaspard and two other individuals involved in Remi's abduction were apprehended. During this encounter, Gaspard attempted to harm Blair, prompting the lawyer to employ a martial arts technique for self-defense. The violent man was quickly subdued by three Paris police officers.
