Ashido is an enigmatic Shinigami from Bleach who debuted on episode 148. Although little information about him exists beyond his name and the fact that he resided in Hueco Mundo to combat Hollows prior to their arrival in the real world, thereby relieving other Shinigamis of unnecessary burdens. His team pursued some Hollows, which led them to Hueco Mundo's domain. After slaying all but Ashido, he remained behind. He dons a Hollow's mask as it was the last one his friend wore before passing away. The mask conceals his attractive features but enhances his combat capabilities by deflecting Cero blasts and providing an excellent shield during battles.
