In ancient times, there was a spy named Mondo who belonged to a warrior clan and had an old acquaintance and rival relationship with Fo Fai. He participated in the first Toshinden tournament to gather information for his client. However, just as he was about to attack the Secret Society on behalf of his client, he received an invitation to participate in the second tournament. Despite his client's attempts to dissuade him, Mondo ignored the request and entered the event. In the end, the Secret Society fell. He also participated in the third tournament hosted by the Organization. Afterward, Eiji Shinjo became head of the Gerard Foundation and learned about the power of the Four Sacred Arms. Since he carried one of them, he began hunting for Mondo. Additionally, Genma sought the same power, making him a target as well. It is believed that before the fourth tournament was held, Eiji managed to catch up with Mondo, since his fighter, Eos, carries his spear.
