Tsutomu is Arimis classmate who has been in love with her since elementary school. He is Gintas cousin and is known for being loud, obnoxious, and a crybaby. He frequently thinks about the past and becomes jealous of anyone that Arimi dates. He also enjoys making challenges to Ginta or Yuu together, but always loses and has to shave his head as a consequence. When he sees Ginta dating Arumi, he becomes extremely upset and follows them everywhere, making everyone's life miserable. In the New Years episode, Tsutomu meets the girl of his dreams, Yayoi-chan, but forgets to get her name, address or school. He is devastated and sits in a park feeling rejected during the Valentines episode when he overhears a guy turn Yayoi down. She recognizes him and they share chocolate that she was going to give the other guy. In episode 58, Tsutomu is seen on a double date with Ginta and Arimi, which suggests that he may be maturing. When Ginta and Arumi break up in a later episode, Tsutomu teams up with Miki to get them back together, further indicating his growth as a person.
