An 11-year-old boy who occasionally works for the Knights to uncover "the one truth." He is not yet a member of their organization and does not know all their intentions. Taro enjoys virtual reality video games and spends most of his time at Cyberia nightclub with friends Myu-Myu and Masayuki. Michael Tribett described him as a "techno punk teenager" due to his use of advanced technology, including custom HandiNavis and video goggles. Taro values his online anonymity and requests a date with Lain's Wired self in exchange for information.
