The karate master known as Doppo is a devoted practitioner who serves as both head of shinshinkai-kan and mentor to Bakis. He's renowned for pushing his students to their limits through rigorous combat training, while also perfecting over 1000 karate techniques daily. Despite being one of the few individuals capable of going toe-to-toe with Yuujirou, Doppo lost his eye and life in a fight against him. However, he was revived by Kureha and later faced off against Dorian in the Search of our Strongest Hero manga series. During this encounter, Dorian managed to cut off Doppos hand using an unusual wire-cutting technique involving a lighter blade. Despite this loss, Doppo avenged himself when he, along with Retsu and Katsumi, tracked down Dorian and confronted him. Shortly after, Dorian escaped from the hospital and detonated an explosive implanted in his hand, causing significant damage to Doppos face. Although this nearly killed him, it left him with numerous scars.
