Zephyr is a wizard and Takiuss teacher who exhibits traits similar to The Joker. He possesses incredible power and knowledge of magic despite his insanity. His high-pitched laugh and goofy antics mask his true abilities. Although he once had a family, they were killed in an experiment gone wrong, leading him to become insane. This madness made him vulnerable to manipulation by the Dark Lord. The anime is unclear if Zephyr became insane before or after teaching Takius. In the end, he was saved by his former student, but it was too late for both of them. Zephyr was the only character in the anime to achieve an "aura," signifying that he had reached the highest level, 99.
