Akkun differed from other Akuta in terms of aggression. It displayed more playful and curious behavior, similar to a child exploring the world around it. Akkun exhibited strong attachment to Inojin Yamanaka, possibly treating him as a surrogate parent due to its imprinting on him. Despite this, Akkun was nervous when meeting new beings and might lash out if provoked. Akkun demonstrated sentient intelligence by being particular about how it was addressed and capable of learning names, although difficult ones were challenging. Its childishness notwithstanding, Akkun displayed bravery and loyalty towards Inojin, even against stronger opponents.
