The protagonist in Aoki Densetsu Shoot! is a high school freshman who initially joins his school's soccer club as a laundry assistant, assigned by Co-Captain Kamiya. However, as the team recognizes his talent during middle school, he is allowed to participate in training sessions. During these sessions, Kubo notices that Toshi has different footwork than other players and discovers that his true strength lies in his left leg rather than his right. As a result, Toshi is put on separate training apart from the rest of the team. Initially, he protests against this decision but later realizes the power of his left leg through rigorous shooting training. This leads to him being nicknamed "The Miracle Left" and becoming the new number 10 and ace striker of the soccer team.
