In the second episode of the Ami-centered episodes in Cream Lemon, we are introduced to Ryuji Kouno, a university student and notorious playboy who shares a dance with Ami Nonomura at a disco club. Feeling sorry for her, he takes her home and they have a one-night stand together. Kouno is intrigued by Amis sexual experience during their encounter and desires to have her again. He pressures her into having sex with him once more before taking her back to his place. Throughout the series, Kouno becomes Amis lover and eventually becomes the president of a music production firm where he manages aspects of her career. Despite this, he remains a playboy and has an affair with his secretary. In "Ami, From Then On," Kouno proposes to Ami, and she finally meets his brother, Hiroshi for the first time.
