The story revolves around a youthful sorcerer from the group known as the Sorcerers of Zero, who crosses paths with Zero and Youhei (a mercenary) while they are journeying together. Eventually, Albus decides to join them in their mission to locate the Grimoire of Zero.
Spoilers:
Although many assumed Albus was a boy, it is revealed by Holdem that Albus is the missing "Sorenas granddaughter".
Albus stops being a member of the Sorcerers of Zero after Thirteen/"Him" nullifies their contract.
