Ruby's homeroom teacher in Jewel Land is an expert magician named Halite. She teaches the class how to use their magic effectively. In Twinkle, she also plays a similar role and occasionally scolds Moldavite when he sleeps during his speeches or engages in annoying antics. Her assistants are Luna and Milky. The name "Halite" is derived from the mineral commonly known as rock salt.
