One of our main characters experienced significant loss at a young age when both his father and mother died. He was left with only a vial containing some of his mother's cells. As a result, he turned to fighting in an underground arena, where he proved himself to be quite skilled. Despite being quiet and reserved, Ichise has a tendency to become enraged at unexpected moments and directs all of his energy towards destroying whatever has angered him. Throughout the series, he gradually opens up more but remains closed off unless someone directly asks him questions.
