Is there another elderly teacher at the art institute that everyone attends? This individual is known as Shouda and he serves as Yamadas supervising instructor. He is an avid admirer of her work, particularly her graduation project which was a beautifully thrown and large bowl. When she created a similar bowl post-graduation, he wept tears of joy in reaction. After Yamada graduated, she decided to continue studying with Shouda as a postgraduate student until she could find a job.
