Horigome has been teaching classical literature at Sakuragaoka High School for a long period of time. At one point, he supervised the school's light music club, which was known as Death Devil. However, he found the group to be too rebellious and often had issues with them. Despite this, Horigome continues to teach but is no longer involved in advising the light music club.
