Ritsuko Chigusa  

Ritsuko is Kyoko's demanding mother who has a fiery temper. Seeing Ritsuko, it becomes clear where Kyoko gets her own temperament from. Although she was disappointed in Kyoko's decision to marry Soichiro and did not attend their wedding or funeral, she began attending memorial services with the hope of convincing the Otonashis to support her and encourage Kyoko to remarry.
