Marius Bassianus, a member of one of three purged Guild houses, was taken under the protection of Delphine Eraclea who later became an Anatoray royal family member. After losing his daughter Euris, he raised Princess Sophia as if she were his own child. During the Disith attack on the Anatoray capital, Marius and the Emperor killed each other in a dispute over Sophias status as heir to the throne. Prior to his death, Marius entrusted the Mysterion held by his family to Alex Row for safekeeping. Despite this, Marius was known for his generosity, shown through his desire to grant land to Disiths people after its collapse and allowing his Guild ship to serve as a training ground for an allied assault on Guild forces.
