In episode two of the OVA, Ikuno Komaki, who has a chronic illness that keeps her in the hospital, was released from the hospital due to an improvement in her health. As a result, she was invited to join her sister, Manaka, and their friends at the beach. Despite having her own struggles, Ikuno is very supportive of Manaka's affection towards Takaki and tries her best to encourage her sister.
