This young man was once the champion of the K-Fight tournament until he lost to Ryoko. He has since returned for a rematch and is known for his tough street fighting skills, which include using kamui, a technique that grants him fire-ki abilities. Despite not having formal martial arts training, he combines his personal style with fists of kamui, calling it Hono no Tora ("Tiger of Flame"). This makes him one of the strongest martial artists in school. Unlike Ryoko, who is part of a club, Shizuma created his own fan club. Although sometimes cruel, he shows affection towards Miyuki, Sara, and even Ryoko. He has musical skills due to his family background and can play the guitar and piano. As a child, he was taught kamui by an old man named Ryugan Higishikata for everyday use. Shizuma later turned it into a fighting technique. He owns a motorcycle and is modeled after Kyo Kusanagi with the last name of "Shizuma". In the manga, he's shown using nunchakus in his final fight against Ryoko.
