Sasa is an ippon-datara, a monopedal cyclops-like demon who resides in mountains. he collaborates with ageha and attacks shizuku, kaya, and rinko at yutos grandparents house. during his second appearance, he adopts a bipedal form with androgynous features. after dining on ice cream at café relish, sasa halts the conflict between ageha and himari upon request. he possesses the ability to summon massive pillars from the sky to crush opponents, increase his mass at will, and fire energy beams from his eye. as per agehas statement in the anime, sasas kind are skilled swordsmiths capable of repairing and restoring broken swords to their original condition and strength. in the anime adaptation, sasa is depicted as bipedal, and his gender has been altered to female. following shuten-dōji and tamas emergence, he/she assumes a supporting role and plays a crucial part in restoring himaris yasutsuna by shooting it with his/her eye, an action originally performed by kuesu in the manga through some sort of time magic.
