In Calcutta, E. Honda was first encountered by a wrestler in a competition where they fought to earn money. Despite trying his best, Dhalsim couldn't hold onto Honda and attempted to mentally subdue him. However, Ryu's presence distracted Dhalsim enough for Honda to regain control of the match and win it due to forfeit.
