Tamago Onsen  

Hot Springs Turtle, Tama-chan, Torikame, 温泉たまご

In the Love Hina series, there's a character named Tamago Onsen or "Hot Springs Egg," also known as Tama-chan. This flying turtle was given to Keitaro by Mutsumi as a gift. Despite Keitaro stating that Tama-chan is male, the girls in the manga refer to her as female and call her "she." Tama-chan is an onsen kame or hot springs turtle, like other members of her species. Su, Mutsumi, Seta, and later Keitaro can communicate with Tama-chan, while Su sometimes has the urge to eat her, although this is often just for teasing purposes. In the manga, it's mentioned that Su drops this habit in order to wait for Tama-chan to reproduce.
