A. Zeppeli was on a ship studying Aztec ruins when his father put on a mask and killed everyone except for him. After this traumatic event, he traveled the world to destroy the mask. He saw someone being cured using the Ripple and was directed to Tonpetty, who taught him how to use it. However, Tonpetty predicted that Zeppeli would die during his training. Despite this, Zeppeli completed his training and gave his power to Jonathan after their house burned down. His grandson was Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli.
